Northdoor plc’s RiskXchange solution has been nominated for Best Security Solution of the Year in the 2020 European IT Excellence Awards
RiskXchange was deployed on behalf of the Salvation Army to better manage and help combat third-party cyber security risk
Northdoor plc is delighted to announce that it is a finalist in the Best Security Solution of the Year category in the European IT Excellence Awards for its RiskXchange solution, which was deployed on behalf of The Salvation Army.
The Awards will take place at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on the 19th March and will see a raft of technology innovators and experts come together to recognise and reward excellence in the European software development, IT and Telecoms solutions sector.
Northdoor worked closely with The Salvation Army to deploy RiskXchange, a simple, automated and centralised risk-management solution that would enable The Salvation Army to manage its own cyber risk score as well as ensuring that its suppliers and third-party partners could meet GDPR requirements.
The solution delivered a low-frictionless user experience for both new suppliers and ease of use for The Salvation Army’s security teams, as well as providing real-time cyber risk management information for The Salvation Army’s broader management teams.
AJ Thompson, CCO of Northdoor, said:
“We are thrilled to be a finalist in the Best Security Solution of the Year category for our work with The Salvation Army. Facing strong competition from a list of more than 500 projects submitted from across 27 European countries, we are delighted that RiskXchange shone through as a leading cyber security application.
“The Salvation Army works tirelessly to transform lives across communities, which is why it was vital that the organisation had access to a comprehensive 360-degree view of internal and third party cyber risk, in real-time, to ensure operations continue to run effectively. Using a simple, clear and informative dashboard, senior executives see in real-time its Enterprise and third-party cyber risk score position, allowing the organisation to make informed and measurable business decisions,” concluded Thompson.
The Salvation Army, said:
“The implementation and set-up of the GDPR templates within RiskXchange were completed quickly, giving us an immediate external view of our suppliers. Since deployment, we have seen the time to assess and manage our third-party companies’ cyber risk reduce dramatically, with the organisation no longer having to manually approach our due diligence.
“Before the implementation of RiskXchange, we could only look at the first link in our supply chain, even with a team of auditors examining every detail of our suppliers’ systems and policies. RiskXchange has enabled us to have automated visibility into the complex web of risk across our supply chain, which has been invaluable since GDPR came into force.”

About the European IT & Software Excellence Awards
The European IT & Software Excellence Awards are the only pan-European awards which recognise the crucial role that Channel Partners, distributors, ISVs, Solution Providers and Systems Integrators play in the delivery of real-world solutions. Entries were submitted by the channel, ISVs, Solution Providers and Integrators themselves describing the solution provided. Each entry has to be supported by an endorsement by the client. The event also recognises service excellence from the vendor and distributor community.
