Egress has produced a report, and here are some key findings:
- There has been a 36.6% increase in phishing emails in 2024.
- 49.9% of attacks were sent from a legitimate compromised account.
- 77% of impersonation attacks imitated well-known brands
- 50% of attacks were sent from a legitimate account.
- 52% more attacks go through SEG detection.
