Northdoor is proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer
As an accredited Living Wage employer, Northdoor is committed to paying all our employees, including third-party contracted staff, the real Living Wage.
We are proud to be part of the Living Wage movement as an accredited Living Wage Employer. This means that every staff member in our organisation earns not just the minimum wage but the real Living Wage.
What is the Living Wage?
The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually based on the cost of living in the UK. The Living Wage is different from the minimum wage set by the government.
Why is Northdoor proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer?
We believe that every member of staff deserves a Living Wage because a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. This commitment applies not only to directly employed staff but also to our third-party contracted staff.
How does Northdoor ensure that all employees receive the Living Wage?
Northdoor has ensured that all our third-party contracted staff, such as our cleaners, are paid the real Living Wage. We believe this is the mark of a responsible employer, and we are proud to be part of the Living Wage movement.
Tess Lanning, Director Living Wage Foundation, said:
“We’re delighted that Northdoor has joined the movement of over 4,700 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on. They join thousands of small businesses, as well as household names such as IKEA, Heathrow Airport, Barclays, Chelsea and Everton Football Clubs and many more. These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they, like Northdoor plc. believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.”
David Ballard, CEO of Northdoor, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be recognised as a Living Wage Employer by the Living Wage Foundation. At Northdoor, we believe every team member deserves a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work. This accreditation is a testament to our commitment to providing the real Living Wage to all our employees, including our third-party contracted staff.
